Learning and Research Librarian (Humanities and Languages)
I am interested in nineteenth-century literary culture in Kent, and more broadly writers who explore the Kent landscape in their writing. I am currently researching the Persistent Scribblers Society, a Canterbury based writing group who circulated stories among their families and friends in the late 1870s. I am co-lead on the Kent Maps Online project, which focuses on writers and their times. I am interested in the intersection between digital and archival resources and the practicalities of hosting, organising and interpreting resources.
I have authored over 30 articles on Kent Maps Online as well as co-authored material with students.
